Innovations have often left the erstwhile leaders in their wake. When incumbents have approached seismic changes in their industry with a sense of denial until it is too late to respond, their eventual decline has been a foregone conclusion.

This week, we take a look at the history of disruptions – starting in the 1800s with Kodak and going on to Sony, Apple, Nokia, and Jagran Prakashan until we arrive at the issue at hand. Which is, how the Indian auto OEMs’ decision to do nothing (in the wake of EV disruption) could end up becoming their Achilles heel.
